We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for our manufacturing facility in the Arkansas City area. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Spearhead the creation and execution of a comprehensive annual health and safety plan
- Foster a culture of safety ownership among all employees through proactive engagement
- Collaborate with site leadership to continuously enhance EHS performance
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate workplace injuries
Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company-specific health and safety standards
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures
- Manage industrial hygiene and hearing conservation initiatives
- Oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work programs
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as OSHA
Technical Expertise and Support
- Provide guidance on health and safety best practices
- Interpret OSHA requirements and other relevant regulations
- Collaborate with plant teams to develop practical safety solutions
- Identify and address safety concerns related to equipment and operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing safety
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industrial hygiene practices
